Johnny Majors was a legendary halfback at the University of Tennessee. He was an All-American in 1956 and 2-time Southeastern Conference MVP. Majors later began coaching and served as the head football coach of Iowa State from 1968 to 1972, Pittsburgh from 1973 to 1976, and Tennessee from 1977 to 1992, before returning to Pittsburgh from 1993 to 1996. His overall head coaching record was 185-137-10 and he won the 1976 National Championship. Majors passed away at the age of 85 on June 3, 2020.
