Willie Mays Autographed San Francisco Giants 'The Catch' 8x10 Photo Framed

Willie Mays is considered one of the greatest baseball players of all time. The 1954 World Series is perhaps best remembered for "The Catch", an over-the-shoulder running grab by Mays in deep center field at the Polo Grounds on a long drive off the bat of Vic Wertz during the eighth inning of Game 1. Considered the iconic image of Mays' playing career and one of baseball's most memorable fielding plays, the catch prevented two runners from scoring. Mays won two MVP awards with the Giants and tied Stan Musial's record with 24 appearances in the All-Star Game. Mays ended his career with 660 home runs, third all-time at the time of his retirement. An outstanding center fielder, Mays won a record-tying twelve Gold Gloves starting the year the award was introduced, six seasons into his career. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1979. Mays passed away in 2024 at the age of 93. This beautifully framed San Francisco Giants 8x10 photo was hand signed by Willie Mays. The autograph includes authentication from PSA/DNA.
