Sam Snead is widely known as one of the greatest golfers of all time. He won a total of 82 PGA Tour events, including 3 Masters victories, 3 PGA Championship wins and won The Open in 1946. Even with his 7 majors wins, he never won the U.S. Open, but came in second four times. Snead passed away in 2002 at the age of 89.
