John Thompson Autographed Official National League Baseball

John Thompson became the first African-American head coach to win a major collegiate championship in basketball when he led the Georgetown Hoyas to victory in the 1984 NCAA Division I National Championship. The Basketball Hall of Famer coached Georgetown for 27 seasons, retiring in 1999, and becoming a sports commentator. Thompson passed away in August of 2020 at the age of 78.
