Al Gionfriddo Autographed Official NL Baseball Inscribed 1947 World Series

Al Gionfriddo was most known for his catch in the 1947 World Series. During Game 6, the Dodgers were up 8-5 at the bottom of the 6th, with two Yankees on base and Joe DiMaggio up to bat. Since there were no replays at the time, it was believed Gionfriddo robbed DiMaggio of the tying home run. It was later revealed that Gionfriddo was a few steps from the wall and actually robbing DiMaggio of a double or triple. Gionfriddo passed away in 2003 at the age of 81.
