Standing at 7 feet 6 inches tall, Yao Ming, one of China’s best-known athletes internationally, was selected 1st overall by the Houston Rockets in the 2002 NBA Draft. The 8-time All-Star was named to the All-NBA team five times, and help lead the Rockets to the NBA playoffs four times.
