Woody English (b. 1906-d. 1997) was an infielder who played twelve seasons between 1927 to 1938 with the Chicago Cubs and Brooklyn Dodgers. English was playing third base for Babe Ruth’s "called shot" (which English says did not occur) in Game 3 of the 1932 World Series and also played in MLB’s first All-Star game in 1933. This baseball was hand signed and inscribed "I was there, Babe Ruth did not call his H.R. in 1932 W.S." by Woody English, and includes authentication from PSA/DNA.
