This American League baseball was hand signed and inscribed "61 to Maris 10-1-61" by legendary pitcher Tracy Stallard (b. 1937 - d. 2017). Stallard played for the Boston Red Sox, New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals between 1960 and 1966. Stallard is best known for giving up Roger Maris' 61st home run in 1961.
