Ralph Branca & Bobby Thomson Autographed Baseball Inscribed Shot Heard Round the World

Bobby Thomson, nicknamed “The Staten Island Scot,” signed as an amateur free agent with the New York Giants in 1942. After serving in the United States military, the 3-time All Star made his Major League debut in 1946. Before retiring from baseball in 1960, Thomson had eight 20+ home run seasons. Thomson passed away in 2010 at the age of 86. Ralph Branca, a 3-time All Star, produced over 800 strikeouts throughout his twelve year career. Branca’s most memorable moment was when he entered as a relief pitcher in the 9th inning Brooklyn Dodgers vs. New York Giants game. Branca surrendered a walk-off home run known as “The Shot Heard Round the World” to Bobby Thomson, giving the Giants the National League Pennant.
