Luke Sewell Autographed Vintage DeBeer Official League Baseball

Luke Sewell, one of the best defensive catchers in his era, played in the Major Leagues from 1921 to 1943. He played for four teams during his 20-year career, primarily with the Cleveland Indians, where he also spent 10 years playing with his brother Joe Sewell. He played in 1,630 games with 1,393 hits, a .259 batting average and 20 home runs. After his playing career, Sewell became the manager for the St. Louis Browns from 1941 to 1946, winning the AL Pennant in 1944. He later managed the Cincinnati Reds from 1949 to 1952. Sewell passed away in 1987 at the age of 86. This vintage DeBeer Official League baseball was hand signed by Luke Sewell. The autograph includes authentication from PSA/DNA.
