Louis Chevrolet was the co-founder of the Chevrolet Motor Car Company, which was founded in 1911. Chevrolet also got into the car racing industry, and drove in the Indianapolis 500 four times, with a best finish of 7th place in 1919. Later on in life, he launched an aircraft engine company in 1927, but failed a few years later as a result of the Great Depression. Chevrolet passed away in 1941 at the age of 62. This beautifully matted and framed typed letter from 1930 addressed to Pitcairn Aircraft was hand signed by Louis Chevrolet. The autograph includes a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
