This National League baseball was hand signed and inscribed "6-11-38, 6-15-38" by 4-time All-Star Johnny Vander Meer (b. 1914 - d. 1997). Vander Meer played 13 years in MLB, primarily for the Cincinnati Reds, and was a 3-time NL strikeout leader and 1940 World Series champion. The inscription "6-11-38, 6-15-38" is in reference to the two straight no-hitters pitched by Vander Meer in June 1938. The autograph includes authentication from PSA/DNA.
