Jay Berwanger Autographed National League Baseball Inscribed 'Heisman 1935'

This official Rawlings National League Baseball was hand signed by Jay Berwanger with the insciption "Heisman 35". Berwanger (b. 1914-d. 2002) was the first winner of the Downtown Athletic Club Trophy in 1935, which was renamed the Heisman Trophy the following year. After an outstanding collegiate career at the University of Chicago, Berwanger became the first-ever player drafted in the inaugural NFL Draft in 1936.
