Herb Moford (b. 1928 - d. 2005) was a major league pitcher with the St. Louis Cardinals, Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox and New York Mets between 1955 and 1962. On April 11, 1962, Moford was one of four pitchers to pitch in the first game in franchise history, an 11–4 defeat against the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium.
