Grover Cleveland Alexander, nicknamed “Old Pete” and"Alexander the Great", was a legendary pitcher for the Phillies, Cubs & Cardinals from 1911 to 1930. The 3-time Triple Crown winner had an impressive 373 major league wins, making him one of the winningest pitchers in history. Among his many feats, in 1916, he achieved an astounding 16 shutouts in a single season, setting a major league record. Alexander's jersey was retired by the Philadelphia Philles, and he was enshrined into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1938. This index card was hand signed by Grove Cleveland Alexander. The autograph has been slabbed, authenticated and graded a 9 by Beckett.
