This National League Baseball was hand signed by legendary college basketball coach Dean Smith (b. 1931 - d. 2015). Smith coached 36 years at the University of North Carolina and retired with 879 victories. Smith won 2 NCAA championships, made 11 NCAA Final Four appearances, and won 13 ACC Tournament titles. He was the 4-time National Coach of the Year and 8-time ACC Coach of the Year. Smith was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1983 and College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006.
