Minnesota Vikings legend Carl Eller was a key member of the defensive unit known as the "Purple People Eaters". The 6-time Pro Bowler was a member of the 1969 NFL Champions team, and was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1971. He is a member of the Vikings Ring of Honor, and was named to the NFL's 1970s All-Decade Team. Eller was enshrined into the Football Hall of Fame in 2004.
