After guiding an exodus of thousands of Mormons westward to the Great Salt Lake Valley, Young founded Salt Lake City and served as the first governor of the Utah Territory. He later worked to establish the University of Utah and Brigham Young University. This beautifully matted and framed cut signature dated August 1868 was hand signed by Brigham Young.
