Bobby Murcer (b. 1946 - d. 2008) was a professional outfielder who spent most of his 17-year MLB career with the New York Yankees. After retiring, Murcer had a career .277 batting average, with 252 home runs and 1,043 RBIs. He was a 5-time All-Star (1971-1975) and was a Gold Glove Award winner in 1972. He later took up broadcasting and was a sportscaster for the Yankees on television, radio and the YES Network, for nearly two decades after his playing career.
