Bob Cain & Jim Delsing Autographed Vintage AL Baseball with Rare Hand Written Story

While many will call this just a signed baseball, art is really a better description for it, as nearly the entire ball is a piece of unique art. It has been hand signed by Bob Cain and Jim Delsing, and inscribed with descriptions from one of the most amazing events in baseball history. On August 19, 1951, St. Louis Browns owner sent the 3' 6" Eddie Gaedel to the plate to bat as a publicity stunt. The pitcher for the Tigers that day was Bob Cain, who tried to pitch to Gaedel. But of course walked him on 4-straight pitches, as Gaedel was the smallest to ever bat in the Majors, and consequently had the smallest strike zone in history. Jim Delsing was sent to pinch run for Gaedel, and it was baseball history. As they say, the "rest of the story" is told in the worlds best inscription on this extremely rare signed baseball.
