Bart Giamatti was one of the Most famous MLB Commissioners in history, as he was determined to maintain the integrity of the game. On August 24, 1989, he prevailed upon Pete Rose to agree voluntarily to remain permanently ineligible to play baseball. Just 8 days after banishing Rose, he died suddenly of a heart attack at the age of 51, only 154 days into his tenure as commissioner. His legacy remains as Rose is permanently banned from baseball. A single-signed baseball is very difficult to find. Offered here is a beautiful vintage Rawlings official National League (Giamatti) baseball hand signed by Bart Giamatti.
