Before the "The King of Blues" was a singer/songwriter, guitarist and record producer, he was a disc jockey in Memphis, and was referred to as "The Beale Street Blues Boy." He toured for decades worldwide, playing more than 300 shows a year and went on to win 15 Grammy Awards. King was enshrined into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
